G’day folks,
My friend and prolific aussie blogger Neerav Bhatt asked me a question on Twitter tonight, which needs more than 140 characters to answer.
Neerav asks “who are the best Sydney foodie bloggers/tweeters with the biggest audience numbers?” I don’t have access to the audience numbers for these bloggers (I’m sure they would be happy to provide them Neerav) so I am listing the bloggers that I admire, plus I would recommend visiting the link lists on each blog to see which blogs these foodies admire too.
I admire these Sydney-based bloggers because they are active, posting regular updates. The quality of the writing is excellent, they demonstrate great passion and they take fantastic photos.
Update: 28th Febrary 2010 (latest Twitter numbers)
I’ve renamed the post to Australian/NZ with the latest inclusion.

OMG you are way too kind! “My” blog is admittedly primarily my content LOL but I do have support from others, and we see ourselves as small fry “eaters” and not yet foodies like the other esteemed blogs you have mentioned. Thank you so much for this, we’re hoping that we provide something slightly different and any feedback would be appreciated!
Hiya Tony! thanks for the props. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the shout-out Tony. You are far too kind
Great list! I will check this out for sure!
woohoo made it! thanks for the link love!
Hi Tony. I’ve been bouncing around for the past two years, from Melbourne and now New York, but my Australian food blog Gosstronomy.com was started in Sydney and returns to Sydney on Oct 3, so hope I can make onto your list for the next round! I’ve got 320 followers, so it’s good to know at least I’m in the ballpark.
In the meantime, there are lots of very interesting Aussie food experiences here in New York, which has been great to check out. Public is an amazing Nolita restaurant using Australian produce, Kitten Coffee is showing New Yorkers how to make Melbourne-quality lattes, and Tuckshop has brought real meat pies to the East Village. There’s a home away from home the next time you visit.
Super late to comment – apologies! Thanks so much for the shout-out, much appreciated!
Excellent list, some of which are my close friends. Food blogs are seriously addictive, both for writing and reading
Well compiled list Tony!
I had a few, but not the others. Consider them all followed!!!
Let the eating………….begin!
I’d like to acknowledge @onomatopia and @initialjh in particular, who have become very prolific contributors to the Tarts blog!
These are great to know – thanks!
Congrats on the foodie blogroll!
Enjoy!
Love the list… am following and next step in my mission is the sampling….anyone else in?
Thanks for giving my blog the nod Tony – I am honoured to be included with such esteemed company!
Thanks for the prop.
All the best in 2010!
A delicious list of tweeter/bloggers that I am honored to be a part of!
Thank you for the inclusion Tony!
