Tony Hollingsworth and Anthony Milner are Sydney-based IT professionals who are passionate about good food, wine and coffee. Based in Sydney, Australia, we’re spolit for choice here in this beautiful city of ours, and we decided to share our passion with the world. Why “Zeitgeist”? Well, its an unusual word for sure, meaning “the spirit of the time” and we believe it encapsulates what this blog is about. The Food Zeitgeist will contain reviews and suggestions for where we believe the best food and coffee is to be found, not only in Sydney (although that will be our focus) but also the broader region of New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, Australia. We welcome your input from around the world too, so please leave a comment.ribe
Anthony and Tony take pleasure in sharing this passion with others. So wherever we go, and what we enjoy, we will share with you all. Be sure to stop by regularly, subscribe to our updates, and leave a comment or two.

Hi there
This is the first time I visited yr blog, and I am hooked already.
What an Excellent idea!
As a food&drink lover, I really appreciate your effort…thanks
By the way, there is a new coffee shop opened in Randwick called Cafe Japone (1 Canberra st. Randwick), which I can only describe as French-Japanese fusion, with very interesting menu & environment.
One of the best tasting coffee in Sydney (and I have tried many places).
They also play nice classical music and hold regular painting & art exibitions.
Check it out: you’ll love it
Enjoy your food & drinks !
best rgds from Sasha
No doubt firstly a thank you for the owners of this website – sophisticated yet still have time to spend on the one thing this world revolves around, Dining!
Two places are a must in Sydney ;
Garlic Prawns (some secret cream/recipe)
Old Castille in Bondi
The most amazing Gelato> Im originally from Kurdistan, the rose flavour Gelato takes me off Norton Street, Leichhardt and into a memory filled journey starting from my taste buds.Divine.
(The only place I have found ‘Rose flavoured Gelato’)
*101 Norton Street
*I think it is 101 or close to.

ZF
great site! I found it while searching for Iggy’s bakery in Bronte. You may want to take The Cheese Room in Alexandria off as it’s not around anymore. A new great place to visit is Fourth Village in Mosman. It’s family run with a really nice vibe as well as great coffee, deli and cheese room. Regards, TBahr
Thanks Tawnya – I look forward to trying Fourth Village in Mosman – I love good cheese and coffee – should you be near Neutral Bay visit my friend David Rosa at Bay Coffee – http://www.baycoffee.com.au/coffee-shops.html – 11-years of roasting and going strong! Cheers, Tony
